My Bio
I'm a Photojournalist with The Examiner newspaper in Northern Tasmania. www.theexaminer.com.au
I'm heavily into photojournalism but still have a soft spot for the Rock and Roll images I started doing straight out of college. I have a lovely wife and 3 awesome children which help keep me occupied when I've put my nikon down, and love a good bite to eat in my downtime.
This site features Images taken over the last 7 Years, on a variety of Film and Digital SLRs as well as some compact digitals, with the photoshop work of each image reflecting my skills at the time. Currently I am archiving my Music Portfolio and Re-Editing ready for public enjoyment.
P.s I'm the one on the right...

So i've cleaned up the gallery, just to show the music work I've done. I think it's important to show how I've evolved over time from a hack to a semi decent photographer I'm still putting up images from music work here, but all other images are over at Scott Gelston Photography on facebook. If you want to contact me message me either through facebook or on info@scottgelston.com Hope all's well.

The time has come for me to leave DA. As of the 31st of January, I'll be deactivating my account, and living entirely through my www.scottgelston.com online self. The last 12 months have been amazing for me photographically, but I feel that DA is no longer something I can add to without feeling attached to the 'Old Scott' that was burnticitzen. This is by no means a bad thing, it's just that with photo blogs, and the amount of contacts I'm getting through facebook, it's hard to keep this site up to date when it isn't helping me get more work, and it no longer feels like the right place to put wedding photos / family photos and newspaper wor

So, the prints are done, the final 3 big 20X30" ones are being matted up and all systems are go! This exhibition, features only well known acts, 10 from JJJ's Hottest 100 of all time, one act who's sold 145 million albums, some Australian chamipons and a few characters, But to find out who made the cut you'll have to come along or look out for the preview in the Examiner just before the launch date. All the prints are being sold mounted and matted, ready to frame, and they are being priced conservatively, so that people who are fans of music, not just art can afford to buy. Here's a recap: Brand New Era - Scott Gelston's first exhibition, fe
